We trust that everyone had a great holiday and is "coming out swinging" at 2005. December was even busier than it always is for mSoft - here are some of the things we worked on as the New Year turned:

Gold Sound of Detroit Puts in Latest Motor City Music Server!
Bryan Gold of Gold Sound, a top-tier audio post house in Southfield, Michigan, specializing in audio for television commercials, recently installed a 10TB mSoft MusicCue server system, putting their entire music and sound effects collection online and adding even more offerings to their collection. Gold's client base includes many top automobile advertising companies such as Campbell-Ewald, BBDO, chemistri, Doner and J Walter Thompson. mSoft is proud to add Gold Sound to its ever growing list of large music users.

Fuel Network is L.A.'s Latest mSoft Customer!
Fox's Fuel Network has just ordered a 4TB system, which will manage the extreme sport network's constantly growing stash of audio. Fuel uses a growing amount of music from major labels and independent bands along with its production music and sound effects libraries. mSoft's interface to the Gracenote.com database was a major consideration in the decision to put the server in, along with mSoft's ability to create an accurate music cue sheet from reading Fuel's Avid EDL files. Daryl Berg, Fuel's Director of Music Licensing & Supervision, and Jon Stromp, Director of Operations, worked together to get the server into the network. They expect it to be a huge time saver in rights reporting as well as editing time.

Nutmeg NYC is Big Apple's Bewest Big Server!
New York's Nutmeg has just installed a 15TB server for all of their production music & SFX libraries. Founded in 1979, Nutmeg is one of New York City's most successful studios specializing in audio post-production and sound design for film, television, radio, and video. Nutmeg credits appear in shows such as The Apprentice, The Restaurant, Real World/Road Rules Challenge, commercial spots for Audi, Mastercard, Unisys, the US Postal Service, and promo spots for USA Networks, VH1, and others. Nutmeg's new 15TB mSoft MusicCue server allows their clients access to over 480 production music libraries and sound effects collections, including the SoundStorm 50,000 FX collection available exclusively through mSoft. The facility also acquired a new set of Powerbooks with wireless networking capabilities for their clients, so clients can be accessing their audio projects and reviewing track selections from any location in the facility, even while a studio is in session. Their clients can also log in remotely, allowing for a fast, seamless production workflow that speeds time-to-finish and greatly enhances quality.

Bad Animals Gets the Baddest Audio Server in Seattle!
We're very proud to announce that Bad Animals in Seattle have just installed the first mSoft audio server in the city. Mike McAuliffe ordered a 1TB server for the busy post house, which is the first audio asset management system in their area, definitely making them the baddest audio cats in town. Originally founded as a music studio with members of Heart, the studio took its name from one of the band's albums. Since then, Bad Animals has expanded into audio post and sound design, doing projects for Disney's EPCOT Center, Microsoft and Humongous Entertainment; and has won numerous Emmy Awards for "Bill Nye The Science Guy". Bad Animals will be the mSoft "showcase site" for Seattle, so any interested facilities that would like to see it will be able to do so there. Interested facilities should call Jim Verderame at mSoft to arrange a demo @ 800-489-9314 or jim@msoftinc.com.

Grace & Wild
Since it was founded in November of 1984, Grace & Wild has maintained a pace of steady growth to become the largest full service creative technical resource in the Midwest. The Company's business is conducted via operating divisions, which include: hdstudios, Postique, Griot Editorial, and others. The group recently upgraded their mSoft sound effects server to include music, and installed a second mSoft system at their Southfield, MI facility.
